The word Samurai means "the one who serves". The samurai led very disciplined lives. They strived always to achieve perfection of the martial arts and their character. Samurai were expected to be capable of bringing the same degree of discipline to the social community as they would to the removal of an enemy's head in battle. This warrior's choice of weapon was the Katana. The katana is a devastatingly quick and powerful weapon. The Samurai viewed the Katana as almost a living thing which they greatly revered. These powerful yet graceful Katanas are made with the old ways in the mountains of China. These are full tanged, battle ready, and razor sharp, capable of cutting through meat and bones with one swift blow. Each comes with a certificate of authenticity.

This beautiful Samurai Katana was hand crafted by the famous Longquan sword master Chris Zhou. It features over 8000 folds to give it it's strength and flexibility. Layers of clay are placed in various thicknesses to control its heating and cooling when forged, and this is what gives it its balance between hard and flexible. This Samurai Katana features a real Ray skin handle. The Ha and Mun (hardness) comes to 57 and 40 respectively on the Rockwell hardness scale. The Ha is very hard, and it is what gives the Samurai Katana it's very, very sharp blade. The hardness is comparable to that of a kingpin in a trailer hitch. The Mun is what allows the blade to be flexible. It is comparable to the hardness of an axe. This allows the sword not to chip when exposed to edge to edge sword fighting. It is also what allows the blade to bend at up to a 30 degree angle. This beautiful Samurai Katana comes with a beautiful silk wrapped wood display box, and silk/cotton sword bag. This Samurai Katana also comes with a signed certificate of authenticity as well as being individually numbered. This sword has been hand honed by expert blacksmiths to a razor sharp edge capable of cutting through meant and bone, as well as bamboo trees, and even able to puncture car doors.
